Morning Fun Video

Morning Fun

Before school an enterprising bunch of Room 22's finest made the longest train track they could, weaving throughout our class. They have filmed the results for you to see....not a bad way to start the day.

How to be our BEST

We discussed what we need to do so we can be our BEST in everything we do. We came up with lots of different ideas and then chose our favourite ones to go around a picture of ourselves in our uniform. We are going to try to read these every day to remind ourselves!
The most important idea we got from today is that of the magic learning word..."YET"... because if we cannot do something we need to remind ourselves that we cannot do it YET.

Room 22 Maths Group

Today in Maths we were looking at Statistics (graphs) and made one on our most popular eye colour. We all coloured our eyes correctly and then created a graph to show our findings. We all made tally marks on a sheet to help us count the amount easily. We looked at our graph afterwards and decided that Brown was the most popular colour. We also saw that Green was the least popular while Blue and Hazel had the same. Graphs are lots of fun!

And the certificate goes to...

Our first two up for a certificate and values leaf this week are our very own J.Hi and G.B.
J has been given the Special Terrific Persons Award for settling in to room 22 and completing all of his work to his BEST which is an excellent effort for the start of the year.
G demonstrates our value of Courtesy and Manners every day and it makes her such a pleasure to have in the classroom!

Early morning visitors

Mrs Reid discovered these visitors outside this morning at 7am picking through our long jump pit. We are not sure what they are after although some birds do eat sand/grit to help them digest their food! What colourful parrots.... we are not sure if they are a native or intruders to NZ... we will keep our eyes open to see if we see them again.

Our Values Show....

We have been looking at our school values this week. We have decided that you can tell when a person has these values by the way they act and how they look. Our values are a part of us like the colour of our skin. They make us who we are. Mrs Foot has come up with an excellent way of showing this by sketching half of our faces with the values written on it. They look AWESOME! We hope you like them to...
